Your Katamari is a magical ball that can attach smaller objects to it while rolling over them. The daughter in this family can sense the cosmos when you manage to bring back stars and constellations. In addition to this, you follow a family on their way to see an astronaut land on the moon. The premise is interesting as the King of All Cosmos has wiped out everything and needs you, the prince, to recreate the stars and more. 14 years later, Bandai Namco Entertainment brings the original to Switch and PC in the form of Katamari Damacy REROLL, and the release is well worth your time – but there are a few caveats. I’ve played, and adore, Donut County which is pretty heavily inspired by Katamari Damacy. There are loads of Katamari games across multiple platforms and my first real experience with the game was the Japanese eShop demo that more or less sold me on it. The King doesn't rattle off random items, it just goes (after level intro) straight to "sending things to Earth".Katamari Damacy is a game I had heard a ton about but never really bothered looking into.During loading screens where The King of All Cosmos rattles off random items, the screen will freeze for a moment before loading in the level (Switch version uncertain if this occurs on PC as well). UPDATE: User snerck has found that the track is still located in the game data with the file name "b21_tyutorial2" and I have personally discovered "WANDA WANDA" DOES still play after finishing a 2-player versus round in the Switch version. This is based on assumption and deductive reasoning. There could be legality / licensing issues in the event the samples were taken directly from the TV show and edited for the music track. Composer Miyake has noted that the "WANDA WANDA" sounds were inspired by the classic tokusatsu series Ultra Seven. The explanation for this could possibly be due to the samples used in the track. "You Are Smart" by Akitaka Tohyama plays in "Make a Star 1" instead. The track "WANDA WANDA", composed by Yu Miyake, has been removed and no longer plays in "Make a Star 1" and is not listed in the Moon Memorial.(PC Mod for English voiceovers is available) English voice tracks / dialogue is completely removed and replaced with the original Japanese voice tracks, most likely due to legal / licensing issues.Joy-Con motion controls (Switch version).Re-rendered in 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio versus the PS2 version's 4:3 aspect ratio.Remastered in 1080p resolution versus the PS2 version's 480p resolution.
